My wife is a big fan of crab meat so we may try it out sometime....

Re: Favorite Restaurants
Fish Tales is horrible. There was a time when they had some really good food. That time is long passed.
They started their downward spiral when they stopped putting honey mustard in bottles on the table.

Re: Favorite Restaurants
well PoundNDN it's good to hear your wife is a big fan of crab meat. Crab meat from this area isn't worth the price.
It's horrible. I'll do you and her both a treat this summer, I usually head up to Downtown Baltimore once a year to stay with my family and usually end up in the harbor, and out in Chespeake Bay going 'crabbin'.
I'll bring back some Maryland BlueCrabs, and let you and your wife try the best crab ever.
Plus I usually order some from the CrabHouse, great, great.
Oh yeah, my favorite restaraunt would have to be Planet Hollywood in St.Louis, MO/HardRock in Baltimore/or ESPN in Baltimore. Great Times...Great food

Re: Favorite Restaurants
my dad works in Baltimore and when I went up to visit and go to the USC game we got to try some crab cakes. The crab cakes up there do not even closely resemble crab cakes down here...the ones here are flat and have more bread than crab meat....these crab cakes were packed with meat so much it was coming out the sides!!
i am partial however, to eating crab meat as a whole...my great uncle in Chesapeake Bay always catches and cooks crabs for us, and I remember as a little kid, he let me help him cook the crabs...pretty funny to see little crabs try and get out of the pot and some succed and you gotta catch em!! :D

Re: Favorite Restaurants
The best seafood I've ever had was from Dirty Dick's Carb Shack on the Outer Banks. That place stays packed. And, the cool T-shirt are neat too.

Dirty Dick's has the worst service of any restaurant on the OBX. We ate there last fall and were lucky to even get our food. After the waitress brought the food, we never saw her again.
Manager wasn't interested in hearing about it either.
